Singapore's MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) has an excellent system of mapping out its lines and stations on their official app， the NEXPTRS 。 You can download it here： The app shows you all the lines in perfect detail， including which stations are close to each other， how far away they are from where you are now， and even a rough idea of how long it will take to walk between them. You can import your google map into it too so that you know exactly what’s around the corner！ There is also an English version but I find it hard to navigate， this one is for iPhone only： 2. The MRT runs from about 6am until midnight， with most lines closing at either 9或 10pm， depending on the line.
3. During peak hour， trains start running every few minutes – like a bus service – and then slow down during off-peak hours when there are fewer people commuting. On weekends， some lines have less frequent services – just every 40或 50分钟 – while others remain relatively constant. Here again， the NEX Traps app gives you detailed information， right down to specific timings of the trains passing by. It really makes travelling by MRT a breeze！ In fact， if you plan to travel by MRT a lot， I would highly recommend getting themselves an EZ link card（易通卡）which you can use on both the buses and the MRTs. Card users get a 10% discount on all bus and rail fare， and can save money by pre-loading funds onto it before traveling. Cards can be used to pay for tickets online as well.
